Indigenous leader Warren Mundine is slamming the government for failing to commit to nuclear energy.

The Prime Minister announced a commitment to net zero by 2050, with no mention of nuclear energy.

The government says a nuclear plan wouldn’t take off because of opposition from Labor.

Mr Mundine told Ben Fordham it’s a “gutless” excuse and nuclear should be on the agenda for the next election.

“Every other country in the world is doing nuclear except us – we look like a bunch of idiots!”
