Leading No campaigner Warren Mundine has called on the government to take ownership and address the tough questions regarding where the “billions of dollars” allocated in the past to close the gap have been spent.

“The billions of dollars that have been spent, why aren’t we making people accountable for that?” he said on 2GB.

“They had said they were going to close the gap, and they’ve got billions of dollars, and it hasn’t closed. So, what have they done?”
