Warnings over the use of hand dryers during COVID-19

A Sydney GP is calling for hand dryers to be turned off, with concerns it could contribute to the spread of coronavirus.

Dr Jill Forer contacted Ben Fordham to express her concerns.

“Droplets can blow from close to your body to far away, in which case the 1.5-metre distancing rule is absolutely meaningless,” she said.

“The blow dryers are encouraging that spread.”
