Warning: Sydney issued with alert over poor quality
An alert has been issued for poor air quality in Sydney.
The Office of Environment and Heritage says ozone levels are forecast to exceed national air quality standards.
New South Wales Health Executive Director Doctor Jeremy McAnulty says it’s a result of the hot conditions.
We’re also being warned to take precautions in the hot weather, with the mercury tipped to reach the low 40’s in Sydney’s west by the weekend.
