Police are investigating after reports of a brawl following a heated Australia Cup football match.

Sydney FC and the Central Coast Mariners went head-to-head at Leichhardt oval at the weekend.

A video posted online shows fans chasing each other through a car park with flares.

Officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command attended, along with the Public Order and Riot Squad, and the crowd started to disperse.

“We’ve got a zero-tolerance approach to morons behaving in this manner,” Ben Fordham said.
