The Veterans’ Affairs Minister says he has told the Department to sort out major delays in processing claims by the end of the month.

There are currently more than 60,000 veterans waiting to have their claims heard by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

Minister Andrew Gee told Ben Fordham “it is not good enough by a long shot”.

“DVA tells me that they’re processing about 15,000 of these invoices in a week … but I’ve told them it needs to be sorted out on the double!
