The director of Shir, the Jewish musical group that performed at the Sydney Opera House during yesterday’s Australia Day celebrations, has recalled the upsetting moment he came across the hateful scenes at the Sydney Opera House on October 9, 2023.

Speaking to Michael McLaren on 2GB Afternoons Ben Adler says the moment left him wanting to create a unifying moment for Australia.

“I tried for quite some time to find a way to make that happen … so to have this opportunity … has been one of the most significant things that I’ve done with my time in Australia,” he said.
