Coalition MP Andre Hastie is urging Barnaby Joyce not to quit the Coalition, arguing he still has “a lot to offer”.

Mr Joyce has confirmed he won’t re-contest his New South Wales seat of New England at the next federal election amid speculation he could quit the Nationals and join rival minor party One Nation.

Hastie told Mark Levy, that the speculation is “unhelpful” to the cause of rebuilding.
