Undecided: David Warner’s return home still in question

The situation is deteriorating for the Australian Test team as David Warner and Josh Hazlewood are scheduled to depart India, joining their captain Pat Cummins.

Cummins will be departing to attend to a grave family illness and is expected to reunite with his fellow players prior to the commencement of the third Test

Further reports have hit the Australian team as two additional key players are poised to depart alongside Cummins.

Sydney Morning Herald cricket writer Malcolm Conn shared with Adam Hawse that Hazlewood continues to have Achilles issues.

As for Warner, Conn told Adam Hawse the medical staff will decide on Wednesday whether he will need to return home due to his elbow injury.

Given the performance of Australia, “they need all hands on deck, unfortunately,” Malcolm Conn said.
