A Labor MP has sensationally compared Monday’s protest scenes with the death of aged care resident Clare Nowland back in 2023.

Anthony D’Adam also taken aim at his fellow Labor MP Police Minister Yasmin Catley for being an “apologist” for police.

“Clearly war now,” Clinton Maynard said on 2GB Sydney Now.

In a statement, Ms Catley says the comments undermine both the government and the NSW Police.

“We see Mr D’Adam attacking police with ill-informed information, using rubbery facts and never taking any responsibility for his own actions,” he said.
