Penrith players have been filmed chanting “we hate Parra” at their fan day after their Grand Final win on Sunday night.

The Panthers proved far too strong for the Eels storming home to a 28-12 victory in front of 82,415 at Accor Stadium.

Celebrations continued at Penrith Stadium on Monday when the players led the 3000 fans in attendance into the chant.

Sydney Morning Herald reporter Michael Chammas told Jim Wilson while “it’s not classy” it will help build the rivalry.

“There’s some people out there who think they should show some humility, but I don’t mind that rivalry building the background,” he said on 2GB Drive.

“Parramatta will remember it, and we move on.

“We’ll write it about it next year.”

Penrith deputy chairman Greg Alexander said the issue was overblown.

“If anyone wants to jump on that sort of bandwagon, they can, but count me out of it,” he said.
