An expert has warned Australia could be in a dire situation in two weeks if its diplomatic efforts with South-East Asian countries fail.

MST Marquee energy analyst Saul Kavonic says jet fuel security is most at risk with the potential for flights to be cancelled.

“And then it’s going to be diesel, those are the two most at-risk fuels that we’ll see in a couple of weeks,” he told Clinton Maynard.

He’s blamed China’s shutdown of its exports, which is where Australia secures their jet fuel.

He’s also revealed what fuel rationing could look like.
