Truckies formed a blockade near the Queensland border this morning as part of strike action against mandatory vaccinations. 

Protests are expected in NSW after workers from the 12 LGAs of concern were given until September 6 to get vaccinated.

Truck driver Stuart told Ben Fordham strike action could last all week ahead of the NSW government’s vaccination deadline for hotspot workers.

“A lot of guys haven’t turned up to work today. I know a lot of transport companies in Sydney are down 15-20 drivers.

“We’ve been held to ransom about this vaccine.”
