Transport Minister says Emerald Class Ferry come back is in the near ‘future’

Clinton Maynard

NSW Transport Minister David Elliott has told Jim Wilson the recent weather has allowed the government to test the Emerald Class Ferries.

Designed to handle and operate in heavy swells of up to 4.5m the Transport Minister said, “I’m hoping we will have some good news about that stability.”

No reports of any cracks, broken windows as of yet and the testing seems to be going well.

“We’re very comfortable that there will be a future for them.”
