NSW Transport Minister David Elliott said the return of cruising was a “long time coming” and is a “psychological win” for Australians.

Cruise ships return on the 17th of April and Mr Elliot told Luke Grant just seeing the sight of them back is fantastic.

“It’s an indication that we are really living in the post-COVID world.”

The NSW government has had a key focus on COVID protocols being used on ships and the Minister said they will be enforced.

“Those protocols … will be a small shadow of the experience of the cruising industry.”
