Construction workers are marching through the streets of Melbourne’s CBD, after a stand-off with police near CFMEU offices in a second day of protests against mandatory vaccination.

Yesterday, protesters swarmed the building, attacking union officials.

Former Labor leader Bill Shorten is among those who have accused some in the group of being “professional troublemakers”.

At 10am this morning the anti-vaccination protesters rallied again, this time met by a heavy police presence.

Nine News reporter Christine Ahern told Mark Levy protesters stopped a major intersection in the CBD.

“It is a little bit tense at the moment.”

The construction workers are being moved on through the streets by police, chanting and releasing flares as they march.

A Seven News reporter was grabbed in a chokehold by a protester, and he and his cameraman had a bottle of urine thrown at them while on air.
