Tour promoter blasts performance cap at Allianz Stadium

JOE HILDEBRAND

A tour promoter who brought Bruno Mars to Allianz Stadium has blasted a cap on the amount of live performances allowed at the venue.

Only six live performances a year will be permitted at the new $800 million stadium in Moore Park.

CEO of TEG Music Management & Promotion Geoff Jones said it’s just not enough.

“Six concerts a year is probably six too few,” he said on 2GB Drive.

“Every concert would generate multiple millions of dollars of economic impact.”
