“Once you achieve that you can then build on that,” she told Scott Haywood on Money News.

Ms Davis says monitoring your fund’s performance and fees and shopping around can help you make the most of your super.

“Firstly, that’s comparing funds and looking for that long-term performance using an app, like Australian Super has, to stay on top of your super, but keeping track of your account and the balance,” she said.

“Just like reviewing your other financial circumstances, it’s important to review your super to ensure it’s appropriate for you.”
