Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott says the government needs to learn from the actions taken during the COVID pandemic.

He notes the then-Morrison government never followed a pandemic plan and instead “panicked”.

“Why did we abandon the Pandemic plan? Well … I think that the media catastrophised the thing, politicians grotesquely over-reacted,” he said.
