Tom Gleisner wears many hats.

He’s a comedian, a producer, a writer and a presenter.

But the Have You Been Paying Attention? host isn’t just working hard behind our television screens.

Tom is also the chairman of the cancer charity Challenge and co-founder of Learning for Life, a charity which provides support to autistic kids.

This week he was honoured with an Order of Australia, and he didn’t quite believe the news at first.

Tom tells Ben Fordham he thought he was being pranked.

“It did take a little while for me to work out that the letter and the address from the Governor General’s office was fully legit.

“I was really chuffed and the response this week has just been great.”

Tom has also revealed how the idea for the popular Channel 10 quiz show came about.
