Todd Greenberg has hit out at Hobart police telling cricketers to go to bed at 6am on Monday morning following the final day of the fifth Ashes Test.

Footage shows four police officers speaking to Australian players Nathan Lyon, Travis Head and Alex Carey, as well as England captain Joe Root and pace bowler Jimmy Anderson after receiving a noise complaint.

Australian Cricketers Association CEO Todd Greenberg told Ben Fordham it was an overreaction.

“They didn’t even get off the field until 10 o’clock at night.

“It seemed like a massive overreaction to me.”
