The NSW Police Minister is encouraging magistrates to “lock-up” illegal protesters.

Climate protesters blocked the Cahill Expressway near the southern pylon on the Harbour Bridge yesterday.

Another protest is reportedly planned for midday on the Harbour Bridge.

Minister Paul Toole told Chris Smith magistrates should “throw the book at them”.

“I hope some of the magistrates were actually sitting in traffic yesterday understanding that the pubic sentiment is against these clowns.”
