Meta and Google have been hit with landmark legal decisions, which Michael McLaren says could be consequential for the space.

A policy expert has told the Afternoons host one of the cases looked at a design defect, in which a jury found Meta and Google had caused harm.

Google and Meta have confirmed they intend to appeal.
