Clinton Maynard has called out the recent rebranding by the Sutherland Shire after he and a Word on the Street emailer noticed they had hidden their official logo, Captain Cook.

The Sydney Now host says an official statement by the council has led him to infer they’re ashamed of Australia’s, and theirs, history.

“You can’t erase history,” he said.
