School students are expected to stage climate change strikes around the country tomorrow.

They will rally around federal MPs and candidate offices to get their message across.

NSW Education Minister Sarah Mitchell tells Ben Fordham “they need to go to school”.

“They shouldn’t be striking, they should be turning up to school as usual tomorrow.

“There’s plenty of time for them to be engaged in democracy but it shouldn’t take place during school hours.”
