NSW Treasurer Matt Kean is preparing a business support package as many struggle through the rising COVID case numbers.

The government is considering extending the operating hours for supermarkets, pharmacies and retailers in certain settings to 24/7.

Hospitality staff could be able to pull bears without a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate, as long as they are supervised by a manager with their RSA.

The Treasurer told Ben Fordham they are looking at temporarily removing regulations.

“We’re seeing some of the toughest economic conditions we’ve seen during the whole pandemic.

“We are expecting a big boom once we get through these higher case numbers … but in the meantime, we need to support our businesses to get to that stage.”
