The push to stop Brian Houston’s fundraising event

Ben Fordham has revealed a push to stop Brian Houston from holding a fundraising event at a Hills Shire Council-owned venue.

The Hillsong founder is currently facing criminal charges, accused of concealing evidence that his father indecently assaulted a minor.

Hawkesbury City Councillor Nathan Zamprogno has written to the council, voicing his concerns.

He told Ben Fordham that Mr Houston should instead use a private facility for his event.

“I’ve received a response to say the matter will be investigated.”

The event will be held weeks before Mr Houston’s trial.
