A local council will order a bait and fishing shop to take down an offensive sign in Auburn.

The Ben Fordham Show contacted NSW police after listener Gaz sent them the photo of the shop on Parramatta Road.

The police have contacted the council and told Ben Fordham the sign will be removed within 24 hours.

Fishing R’US pasted a sign on the door of the shopfront featuring the C-word.

Ben Fordham says, “it’s not appropriate to have that kind of language on your shopfront.”

“The offending word would also be right in the eye-line of any children walking past.”
