A midwife of 15 years, and most recently a COVID nurse, will be on one council’s vote card this weekend.

Stacey Lamont has decided to put her experience to use, running as an independent candidate for North Sydney Council.

Ms Lamont told Ben Fordham she was encouraged to run as a candidate, never having considered it herself.

“I care for people and, at the end of the day, I think that’s the root of why I’m running for council.”
