As the Olympic movement looks for sports to attract younger crowds, there’s a push to get Esports into the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.

Due to its growing popularity and relevance, Esports has already taken over the world with gaming competitions and now there is a push to include it in Australia.

President of Australian Esports Association Darren Kwan told Deborah Knight the possible inclusion is a “long time coming”.

“It delivers all the benefits of sport around social fun, participation, community,” he said.

“It’s a way to engage youth.”
