Ray Hadley has discovered a new country song that reminds him of his own grandchildren.

Little Pearl was written by Dr Joe Romeo, who’s from Narrandera in the Riverina region of NSW, about his granddaughter Pearl.

Ray has been giving the song plenty of airtime over the last few days, telling his listeners it reminds him of his grandchildren Ava and Noah.

Although Dr Romeo wrote the song himself, he tells Ray he had it professionally recorded by a studio in Nashville.

“I can sing it but if you heard me sing it you wouldn’t be playing it!”
