The items Coles has put buying limits on and why

Article image for The items Coles has put buying limits on and why

Coles says buying limits are necessary while supply chains are rocked by COVID-19 cases.

Customers can buy only one packet of toilet paper, while packets of paracetamol, ibuprofen and aspirin will have a limit of two per buyer.

Shoppers will be limited to two packs of chicken breast, chicken thighs, mincemeat and sausage purchases.

Coles Central Operations Executive General Manager Kevin Gunn told Chris Smith there’s strong demand for medicinal items, while meat is hard to source.

“We’ve put these limits in place to give all of our customers a chance to buy these products.”
