‘The horse that escaped death’ ready to race at Royal Randwick

A horse that is lucky to be alive after the northern NSW floods is preparing to race in Sydney.

Murwillumbah horse trainer David McColm almost lost his star runner Far Too Easy as floodwaters rose during the wild weather battering northern NSW.

“The horse that escaped death” will now race at the Royal Randwick this weekend.

Mr McColm told Ben Fordham “it was scary”.

“We were extremely worried. The water was above the knees of the horses.”
