Australians across the country are in a decluttering frenzy.

New Year’s resolutions along with new Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo are inspiring Aussies to declutter their homes.

Decluttering Diva Kristina Duke tells Luke Grant people are excited about trying new techniques.

“In general January is that time; New Year, new habits, new resolutions… So it’s the perfect time to have a declutter.”

Kristina says you should approach it like a “stocktake” of your house.

“It’s good to just go through each and every nook and cranny of your house.

“Do you need this? Is it serving you at this time of your life? Maybe it served you five years ago.”

The Decluttering Diva also shares the golden rule to decluttering up your home.
