The fight to get drinking water to tsunami-stricken Tonga

Ben Fordham

Aussies are being encouraged to help Tonga after a devastating tsunami left locals without drinking water.

Sydney based security company Reddawn has partnered with the Tongan-Australian Chamber of Commerce to get non-perishable supplies and bottled water to Tonga.

People can donate with the option to contribute to a $620 dollar pallet with more than 1700 bottles of water.

To donate call: 02 9661 4434

Reddawn’s Melissa Dennis told Ben Fordham shipping containers cost $7000.

“We have quite a lot of staff who are personally affected by this.

“We’ve seen that as they’ve been gradually trying to get into contact with family back home, some of them who still haven’t had an answer.”
