The fight continues for paedophiles to forfeit superannuation
There are fresh calls for paedophiles to open up their superannuation funds to their victims.
Under reforms planned by the federal government in 2017, the then Finacial Services Minister Kelly O’Dwyer raised the issue, yet the legislation still has not passed.
Families of sex victims are now campaigning for paedophiles’ superannuation money to be unlocked, seized and used to pay for the ongoing care of abuse victims.
A Current Affair reporter Dan Nolan told Ray Hadley that families are furious.
“The only people against this legislation changing would be paedophiles.”
