The ‘Christmas gift’ for QLD koalas

A new innovative idea will shore up koala habitats in south-east Queensland.

Drones will be used to seed trees in the state to provide new homes for koalas.

Environment Minister Sussan Ley told Chris Smith it’s an example of “large scale ecosystem restoration”.

“We know they’re quite fussy about what they eat and sometimes where they sit.

“Habitat restoration is critical to ensuring a strong future for koalas.”
