The best garden plants for those without a green thumb
Sydney’s Royal Botanic Gardens is sharing its top picks for low-maintenance garden plants.
More than 200 plants were trialled at the gardens to find the best options for the average home patch, but only 40 made the cut, Curator Manager David Laughlin told Deborah Knight.
“We’re not using anything fancy that wouldn’t be available to the home gardener.
“We’ve got a range of plants that are basically tough as nails, we’ve got plants that grow in similar climates to Sydney from around the world.”
