Cockatoos and the humble vanilla slice feature in this year’s Great Aussie Coin Hunt, as it returns for the third time.

It has people around the country searching for 26 limited edition $1 coins, each representing a different letter of the alphabet.

Retail for Australia Post Executive General Manager Catriona Noble told Deborah Knight the coin with the Magpie is her personal favourite.

“That brings back a lot of fond memories of growing up in Australia.”
