The detective work that led to a 2GB listener being reunited with his long-lost sister after 80 years has been revealed.

Bill had been looking for his sister, Beryl, decades after they were separated in an orphanage.

Kylie Watson, the woman responsible for the magical moment, told Deborah Knight she too stumbled across Bill when delving into her own family history.
