Ray Hadley is furious with the NSW Premier’s fast-moving ease of COVID restrictions. 

Dominic Perrottet called in to Summer Afternoons with Joe Hildebrand following today’s snap National Cabinet meeting, announcing a number of restrictions will be eased.

It comes as the state is now recording upwards of 10,000 cases of the virus each day.

Ray told Chris O’Keefe he nearly fell out of his chair hearing what Mr Perrottet had to say.

“He said yesterday he’d do nothing different,” Ray said. “Now that’s insane! All of us make mistakes, particularly under pressure.

“And for him to say yesterday he’d do nothing different means there’s an arrogance of touch to this premiership, which is almost breathtaking.”

The Premier has doubled down on his decision to open the state up, citing the number of cases in ICUs.

“Yes, ICU are down, but big deal!” Ray continued.

“The economic cost because the boy Premier decided he knew more on December 15 and a week later, what did he do?

“Seven days after he made the decision, he reversed a decision he should never have made in the first place.

“I know one thing: this will cost him the premiership in 2023.”
