Tex Perkins is embodying the music legend Johnny Cash in a series of shows this year, and Perkins says it feels like home to be performing the iconic discography.

Perkins begins a national tour performing Cash’s greatest in September, and said he’s more comfortable singing Cash than bellowing out his own fine tunes.

“Johnny Cash’s music is like playing on the home ground or sitting in a big, comfy chair. I mean, it just feels so comfortable”, he told Deborah Knight.
