Tennis stars are descending on Europe ahead of the French Open which kicks off on Sunday.

Former world number four Pat Cash joins Chris Smith as he prepares American Coco Vandeweghe for the tournament.

Coco says she was in shambles before she started working with Cash, heralding his “jedi mind tricks” for keeping her calm on the court.

Cash tells Chris, “that’s the interesting thing about working as a coach, everyone has their strengths and their weaknesses. We’re working hard on her not losing her cool.”

Serena Williams, who has been on maternity leave since the birth of her daughter, will also take to the French Open court.

While she left world number one, Williams returns ranked 454th due to her leave from the game.

Pat Cash is steering clear of the controversy when asked if she deserved to be seeded for the Open.

“I don’t think they do that here in France. They do at Wimbledon,” he says.

“Having said that, she’s clearly one of the best players in the world, it won’t take her long to get back there.”
