Teen motorcyclist caught 110km/h over speed limit
A teenage learner motorcyclist has allegedly been caught travelling 110km/h over the speed limit on the state’s mid-north coast.
The 18-year-old man was allegedly riding a Kawasaki at speeds of up to 220km/h along the Pacific Highway at Raleigh on Saturday night.
The speed limit on that stretch of highway is 110km/h but the man’s learner licence restricts him to just 90km/h.
His licence has been suspended and he’s been charged with riding at a speed dangerous, and excess speed limit over 45km/hr.
The man from Valla Beach is due to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court in February.
