Sydneysiders flock to cheaper servos as price hike looms
The temporary cut to the fuel excise has come to an end with warnings petrol prices are about to rise.
The ACCC has put service stations on notice, with the change in price not expected to be passed on to customers for a few more days.
However, prices at some service stations have already risen.
Nine reporter Jess Ridley is at a Granville petrol station selling unleaded for $1.57 a litre.
“There’s been dozens and dozens of cars right down the street,” she told Chris Smith.
“You can really shop around and get a cheaper rate.”
