Sydney’s first COVID drive-through vaccination clinic opened Friday morning, operating from the Belmore Sports Ground carpark.

The clinic will offer Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines to eligible people on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the next six weeks.

Dr Jamal Rifi, Sydney General Practitioner, told Deborah Knight the drive-through clinic is going well.

“Everything is running smoothly,” he said.

“We have a lot of people coming in their car …it is pleasing me to see mum and dad in the front, and three kids at the back.

“We vaccinate the kids … it has been a very pleasant day.”

Dr Rifi said people need to book an appointment so the clinic can manage the traffic flow.
