Sydney Roosters assistant coach Matt King is hoping for a better performance this season compared to last year’s riddled with injuries.

Coach Trent Robinson has re-signed for another 5 years, and Matt told Bill Woods, “he deserves the extension”.

Matt said there is a heavy focus on “getting the boy’s body right for the season” amid the squad being deeply affected previously.

Crediting young star Sam Walker’s development in the pre-season the assistant coach said “he’s looking really good”.
