Police are investigating whether a fire sparked at Sydney Olympic Park was caused by fireworks.

Emergency services were called to Margory Jackson Parkway before midnight on Sunday, during a Total Fire Ban, and found an area near a car park well alight.

The blaze was extinguished but some fireworks were found at the scene.

The exact cause of the blaze is yet to be determined.

Elsewhere, a 54-year-old man has been charged over a blaze caused by power tools at Marsden Park.
