Four neighbouring properties had to be evacuated as a precaution but no one has been injured.
It’s believed the residents of the home are away on holidays at the moment.
Neighbours have reported a strong smell of gas before the explosion.
Fire investigators will enter the property as soon as it’s deemed safe and look to determine the cause.
