A man has been charged with high-range drink driving after being caught at nearly six times the legal limit in Sydney’s north-west.

The 56-year-old man was seen driving erratically on George Street at Windsor overnight when police stopped him for a random breath test.

The man allegedly blew over the limit and was taken to Windsor Police Station where he allegedly returned a reading of 0.299.

The Londonderry man has now been charged with his second high-range drink driving offence and had his licence immediately suspended.

He’s been granted strict conditional bail and will face court next month.

Local police say they’ve had enough drivers taking risks on our roads every day.

“Too many drivers are engaging in risky and dangerous behaviour on our roads, particularly due to impatience and poor decision making,” says Duty Officer Garry Sims.
